LOOKING AFTER YOURSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY LIFE

*Simple Ways to Find Balance, Make Mealtimes Easier and Care for Yourself*

Life can become busy very quickly. Between work, family, ministry, business and everyday responsibilities, it is easy to spend so much time caring for others that we forget to care for ourselves.

But woman of God, you matter too.

Looking after yourself does not mean neglecting your responsibilities. It means recognising that you also need rest, nourishment and moments of peace to keep going.

Give Yourself Permission to Slow Down. Sometimes, we put unnecessary pressure on ourselves to do everything perfectly. We want to keep everyone happy, complete every task and meet every expectation. Yet, we were never meant to carry everything without taking time to pause.

Matthew 11:28 (KJV) says: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

God invites us to come to Him when we feel weary. Taking a break, asking for help and making practical changes to our routines can be part of looking after the life He has given us.

Caring for Your Whole Self

In 3 John 1:2 (KJV), we read: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

This scripture reminds us of the importance of holistic wellbeing, caring for our spiritual lives while also paying attention to our physical health and everyday needs. As we grow in faith, we should also make room for rest, nourishing meals and healthy routines.

Woman of Virtue, remember that caring for yourself is not selfish. Make time to nurture your relationship with God and take practical steps to look after your body and wellbeing. You deserve care too. πŸ’š

Make Everyday Responsibilities Easier

One simple way to reduce daily stress is to plan ahead where possible. Preparing a few things in advance, keeping your routine manageable and finding easier ways to organise your day can make a real difference.

Mealtimes are one area where we can feel under pressure. Deciding what to cook, shopping for ingredients and preparing meals every day can become tiring, especially when you have many other responsibilities.

For those living in Ireland, DropChef is one practical option worth exploring. It is an Irish meal-kit service that delivers recipes and ingredients to your door, helping you prepare meals at home without having to plan everything from scratch.

Remember to Nourish Your Spirit Too

Looking after yourself involves more than managing tasks. Make room for prayer, time in God's Word, rest and the simple things that bring peace to your day.

You do not have to accomplish everything in one day to be productive or purposeful. Sometimes, wisdom means knowing what needs your attention now and what can wait.

A Gentle Reminder

Woman of Virtue, you are allowed to care for yourself while caring for others. Give yourself grace, make practical choices that support your wellbeing, and remember to invite God into your everyday decisions. You can live purposefully without exhausting yourself in the process.
