🌿 From Palm Sunday to the Cross and the Resurrection 🌿
Holy Week is one of the most powerful and sacred times in the Christian calendar. It is a time to pause, reflect, and remember the journey of Jesus Christ, His sacrifice, His love, and His victory.
From the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey to the moment He rose again, every step reveals the depth of God’s love for us.
🌿 Palm Sunday: The Triumphal Entry
Jesus entered Jerusalem humbly, riding on a donkey, while people praised Him and shouted “Hosanna.”
📖 “Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion… See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9
📖 “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Mark 11:9
This moment reminds us that Jesus is our King, yet He came in humility and peace.
🌿 A Week of Teaching and Preparation
During this week, Jesus taught in the temple, prepared His disciples, and revealed truths about faith, obedience, and the Kingdom of God.
He knew what was ahead, yet He remained faithful to His purpose.
📖 “The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve…” — Matthew 20:28
🌿 The Last Supper
Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples, establishing a covenant that we still remember today.
📖 “This is my body given for you… Do this in remembrance of me.”
Luke 22:19.
This moment reminds us of His sacrifice and the love He has for each of us.
🌿 The Garden of Gethsemane
In the garden, Jesus prayed in deep surrender.
📖 “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Luke 22:42
Even in sorrow, He chose obedience.
This teaches us to trust God, even when the journey is difficult.
🌿 Good Friday: The Cross
Jesus was crucified, bearing the weight of our sins.
📖 “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness.by whose stripes we were healed."
1 Peter 2:24
The cross is not just a place of suffering, it is a place of redemption, forgiveness, and love.
🌿 Resurrection Sunday: Victory and Hope
The story does not end at the cross.
Jesus rose again, bringing victory over sin and death.
📖 “He is not here, He has risen!” Matthew 28:6
This is our hope. This is our victory.
🌷 What This Means for Us Today
Holy Week reminds us that:
• God’s love is sacrificial
• Obedience leads to purpose
• Even in suffering, there is hope
• The story does not end in pain, it ends in victory
No matter what you are facing, God is working, and your story is not over.
🌷 A Prayer for You
Oh Our Heavenly Father,
As we reflect on Holy Week, help us to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and the depth of Your love for us. Strengthen our faith, guide our steps, and help us to trust You in every season. Teach us to walk in obedience and to live in the victory You have given us through Christ. In Jesus Might name, Amen.
